Exam Protocoling

Protocoling is an important but difficult-to-control, dynamic process--especially when orders arise suddenly or customization beyond standard protocols is required. peerVue’s Exam Protocoling space keeps the process straightforward and easily managed.

Exam protocoling is typically managed by a RIS. However, not all RIS products adequately support the process. This is often true when new orders are added after the radiologist has completed the protocoling process, when radiologists’ enhancements and clinicians’ last-minute changes are made after protocoling and when customization is required for non- standard protocols. In addition, often there is no way to capture effective non-standard protocoling for use going forward.   The peerVue Exam Protocoling solution space automatically alerts radiologists of all new exams that require protocoling and also supports rules for notification of cases that require custom protocoling. Exams auto populate the worklists of appropriate staff and provide alerts on procedures to be followed. This peerVue solution space streamlines workflow by providing effective, flexible, semi-automated protocol management.
