	Imaging Departments often have no way of knowing a patient’s radiation dose history, making the management of radiation exposure nearly impossible. In some cases, modalities do not capture actual or estimated dose. If they do, the information is not stored and shared. The result is that some patients are overexposed to radiation. It then alerts designated parties if a patient’s cumulative exposure will exceed a site-determined safety threshold.
